About Adjustability

Adjustability offers Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy services to both Adults and Children on the NDIS scheme.

Adjustability works collaboratively alongside other service providers like other therapists, plan managers, local area coordinators (LACs) and support coordinators to keep you in the centre of your care. 

At Adjustability, we use assessments and reporting to serve people rather than people to serve assessment and reporting. This means we don't over assess or use tick box style templates where the Therapist is led by a form instead of being led by you and your unique situation and circumstance.

The NDIS model is designed to be truly "client centred" and our team works to make that happen in practise not just theory.

20 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist in the disability and aged care sectors has taught me the importance of small agile therapy teams comprising of therapists who work because they are passionate about making a positive impact towards other peoples goals and quality of life. 

Adjustability was established to nourish the therapist. This may sound strange but it is all too common for the therapists to be squeezed between pressure to complete work to the high standard they want to professionally and pressure from their senior management team to continually take on more. This high stress combination detracts from therapists themselves leading the quality of life they seek for their clients and ultimately leads to therapist burnout. So my role is to ensure that therapists and administration staff are supported to thrive in their lives so that they enjoy their work, strike their own work/life balance and focus on supporting each other and their clients with the whole of their being.

The therapy team at Adjustability can maintain a focus on being exceptional therapists because they have strong support for the non-therapy related part of their role. 

The administration is completed in a timely manner by a very professional administration team who also enjoy high amounts of autonomy and decision making power within their roles. This combination  of large amounts of autonomy in all roles and a truely inclusive model of workplace decision making provides Adjustability with very low turnover of workers, very high job satisfaction and ultimately fosters focused therapists, who are where they want to be, doing what they want to do, for the people they want to serve.

Our collaborative approach between Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy enables the Adjustability team to maximise therapy outcomes for our NDIS participants.
